About Coaching
The aim of my coaching is to provide increased awareness and greater personal insight for the person being coached. Based on this, it is possible to unlock the individual's potential and to obtain or enhance the competencies to achieve professional and personal goals.
The coaching dialogue is a structured conversation based on a concrete goal defined by the person being coached. The conversation is based on an assumption and a fundamental belief, that the person being coached possesses the prerequisites to, first of all, be able to identify how to obtain the goal set for the conversation and subsequently actually obtaining the goal.
The coaching sessions are 100% confidential, they are founded in mutual trust between the person being coached and me as a coach, and I am of course bound by confidentiality. For the coaching to be successful it is important that the person being coached is motivated and has a genuine interest in and wish to implement the change required to obtain the goals set.
In order to go through with the coaching in an ethical manor, it requires:
- Voluntariness – the person being coached has to want to be coached
- Permission – the person being coached has to provide (written) permission to go through with the coaching
- Transparency – the boundaries and agreements made have to be completely clear and unambiguous
The topics and goals of the coaching is defined solely by the person being coached and it is my responsibility to help the person being coached to reflect on the given topic/goal, ensure obtaining new insights, facilitate identification of new ways of thinking and to ensure commitment to action and focus on how the newfound habits or behavior are trained.

My focus
By asking the right, powerful questions during coaching, I help creating an overview thus enabling the person being coached to identify the things that are important and right to focus on and, equally important, those that are not.
Quite often the tropics addressed are very concrete matters and problems, that are founded in concrete situations, or maybe something that the person wants to change or do differently such as bad habits or patterns the person hasn't succeeded in changing themselves so far.
Fundamentally my coaching targets not only that the person being coached finds solutions for the concrete topic or challenge, but also that the solution is anchored in something more fundamental so the change will be more permanent. By viewing the desired change or condition in the light of the more fundamental values of the person being coached, we identify what really is at stake and can then anchor the change based on these values.
I coach in Danish, Swedish and English.
